This painting is based on a dream I had about saving the kingfishers, whose tree was going to get cut down. I ran towards them and they started flying and landing all over my hands. I wanted to capture the magical feeling!
Subject matter: Nude figure on the right, turned a quarter to the left with her left hand bent in 90 degrees holding a kingfisher bird in blues/oranges. On the left you see another kingfisher with spread wings, fluttering and facing the figure. Surrounding the nude figure and birds are a vibrant blue lake, with magical glowing blooming florals.
